The Jollof Kitchen
This is the story of how pandemic jollof rice cravings transformed a home kitchen into a thriving Nigerian restaurant in Sydney's Inner West.
When the pandemic hit, Olaolu Olorunnimbe couldn't make his usual trips back home to Nigeria for his fill of jollof rice — and was forced to learn how to make it himself. What started as personal survival became a cultural mission to share Nigeria's bold, celebration-worthy flavours through a unique home kitchen experience that's redefining Australian dining.
This short documentary follows Ola as he channels his love for bold Nigerian flavours into serving authentic jollof rice, spicy chicken, smoked cauliflower, sweet plantain, zobo, and puff puff.
